Memory Fail

Tis a memory fail because I can't recall what all I used for Wednesday's EOTD :(

I know I used some She Space colours and MAC but I don't remember using eyeliner, yet THERE IT EFFING IS! What the hell!

I used probably:

Lid: A Tale of Twins
End and crease: MAC Beautiful Iris
Darker colour in crease and lower liner: MAC Parfait Amour
Browbone: Crystal Wind

It's bugging the shit out of me that I can't remember what the eyeliner is and that's just from 2 days ago! Crapcrapcrap.

I want lemonaid.

This was an attempt to show you how wonderful Crystal Wind is but of course my camera was being lamesauce and you can't see the rainbowy coolness of it.

Can Haz Lotery Winnins Pls

The lottery here is worth 50 mil plus 9 draws of a mil each! I wanna win soooooo bad! Everyone does, lineups are insane. I know some of ya are like "big dealio yo we gets like 90 mil jackpots!" But here in Canadaland it doesn't get taxed up the butt and you get to keep it all baybeeee. I pitched in my 2 bucks for the work draw and got our own ticket as well. Think of all the makeups I can buy with that!

So, to think happy thoughts I decided to wear the colour of money! Since it's payday and I'm left with next to nothing, I need all the positive thinking I can get!

Aromaleigh was my go-to this morning.

The STUFF:

UDPP

Inner corner: Real Gone
Next to real gone: In Orbit
Next to In Orbit: Spaz
Outter 4th and crease: Radioactive
Lower liner inner: What's Shakin'?
Lower liner outer: Smokin'
Upperliner: Rimmel Underground eye darkening liner in Peridot
Highlight: Stardust Cosmetics in Cashmere Mittens.

Rimmel mascara as uuuuusual.

The pics kind of suck. They were kinda fuzzy. I tried to sharpen them in photoshop but I didn't like the way they changed the eyeshadow shades when I did it too much. So no full face! :(

Sparkly Neutral

I forgot I grabbed a whole bunch of Aromaleigh Hot in The City shadows!

When I played with them earlier I liked the sparkly bits in most of them and decided on a more neutral look yesterday. Still can't get passed the "no bright colour" part though :(

I used
UDPP
Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy (too much sadly, looked crunchtastic)
Window shopping on lid
Concrete Jungle in crease
Orion for the highlight, the blue sparkles in it went really well with the blue sparkles in Concrete Jungle!
Skyscraper lined the bottom
Asphalt was sealed on top lashline. I buggered it up and used too much sealant and I'm pretty sure this is the only shadow that actually seemed to get LIGHTER wet! Dammit. I wanted darker.

Oh well.

I should have shoved a brighty in there somewhere :)

And today's look sucked but lookie what Urban Decay's Heat Deluxe shadow looks like as a blush!

Blue Ice Cut Crease

Today was hockey day so I didn't go anywhere but was uber bored so of course I had to play with makeups!

I got the cut crease urge after taking a lookie at Silhouettes blog

The only problem was not knowing what to use. I googled some looks and I really liked the blue I saw here

Check that out! 2 links in a row! I'm a slow learner... (nope still can't figure it out so I'll put them in this way) http://silhouettescreams.blogspot.com/2010/02/tqttons-subtle-cut-crease.html and http://www.bulletmag.net/columns/aboutface/tayler.htm

Going through my pile o' happiness I found an Avon Mark set of shadows I've only worn once that had a pretty light blue in it. It's no longer available, I bought it in '08 and avon discontinues stuff pretty damn fast. Google doesn't even have a pic and stupid me forgot to take one before putting it away. If I remember I'll throw one up afterwards. It was called Wink of Glam Eyeshadow palette in Blue Ice. There are 5 stripes in it, a medium blue, 2 pale blues that look almost identical, a black with some iridescent sparkle and a pale pink.
I used them all!

For the first time in a long time here is my all non indie makeup company look!

I used:

UDPP
NYX Jumbo eye pencil in Baby Blue on the main lid only, just enough to make it a bit more sticky. The shades were almost matte and I didn't want pixie epoxy to effect the finish.

Then using a slanted eyeliner brush I used the black and carefully drew a line in the crease and brought it out past my eye a bit, not meeting the edge of my eye. I like the space look better than when it meets the end.
It took forever to get both lines even on each side, one was droopy so I had to q-tip the end off and try again. Then using the same shade and brush I carefully dragged the black up a bit to fade it out, but keeping the line solid where it meets the blue. If you fade that line, it's not as intense.

Then I used the medium blue and used it over the faded out black and brought that up a bit with the eyeliner brush (I don't have many so I make do lol)

Once it looked blended enough I used the pale pink shade as the highlighter and carefully blended it into the medium blue.

Then I used Urban Decay eyeliner in Zero and lined the top lashes and carefully winging it out so it almost touches the edge of the black in the crease but not quite and then I lined my lower waterline as well.

Curl lashes, loads of black mascara, filled in the brows and voila!

This one turned out way better than the one I did in December or the red/silver one I did!

Cheeks were Avon Mark as well, Pink Kimono from the Tokyo flip palette from '08 too I think.

Lips were MAC Bubblegum with MAC Hello Kitty in Nice Kitty.

Here's my look!

Frik my eyes look lame head on.

This picture was taken to get a swatch of the lips but I like how the eyeshadow looked in it even moARE!!!

BUNNEH!! We are plotting ways to get rid of Horatio Caine....dun dun dunnnn

My goofball face for BLIX! I was trying to look badass goofy but it looks like a mean kissy face instead. FAIL ON THE STUPID FACE!

Beauty Product Hoarder - LOTS o pics

hoarder (plural hoarders)

1.One who hoards; one who accumulates, collects, and stores.

Welpers, in trying to find a space for my bpals when I placed the order awhile ago AND after watching the show "Hoarders" I'm going to admit I have a slight problem :)

I lurrrrve lotions and beauty products in general but when a product smells off I will chuck it, but I noticed I keep some useless shit!

Price tags from clothes I got on sale on my nightstand. I'll toss those, but I should have gotten rid of them in the first place.

The extra buttons that come with clothes. I usually chuck those on the nightstand too. I don't even remember what I wear that HAS buttons...

I have an entire frikkin rubbermaid container FULL of t-shirts that no longer fit me, that I keep "just in case"

It really is full, it's the one on the bottom because it couldn't close right so I had to stack one full of blankets on top of it, and a tv on top of that!

I have some perfumes that I've had since I was 12. I wore Candies everyday back then and I still didn't go through a whole bottle so I don't know why I keep buying more bottles of other perfumes besides the fact that "IT PRETTY MUST HAVE!"

The little bag hanging off the shelf is FULL of perfume samples that I've gotten as gwp or presents or avon.

I need to organize that shelf or the glass is going to frikkin shatter.

Also scrapbook stuff is my weakness. More specific, the pretty papers you can get!

I started that maybe 3 years ago and I've only done 2 pages :( I'm bad at never printing my pictures or the pictures I take aren't worth printing.

My first colour of nail polish was this neon pink my mom bought me when I was 5ish, I still remember it, it had a white lid! So I'm really good at painting both hands even by now, I've had almost 20 yrs practice :D Some bottles where the colour sucked have gotten chucked in the past years but this is what I have today hoarded away (my poor Just Groovy blue is separated!)

The box doesn't contain my Chrome nail polishes, my China Glaze Kaleidoscope collections or my glittery/special effects top coat polishes. Those are in a box in my closet somewhere from when I moved.

And now for the stuff I'm super running out of space for, BATH PRODUCTS! Is it wrong to always want to smell nice? I had to get a rolly cart thingy to hold stuff that wouldn't fit in the closet. Here be mah cart!

The size of it: (I dunno just compare it to my toilet paper! :D

The top 2 shelves hold some of my Lush stuff. I could probably make a killing with the discontinued bath bombs and melts on ebay. But I won't. Then I can'ts smells thems!

And the big pretty space on the counter needed to be cluttered up:

More Lush in the green box! mmmm Lush.

Under the sink isn't safe:

What's in the Lush bag...MOAR LUSH

After I lived in this apartment for maybe 5 months I noticed a secret drawer for me to jam more shit into!

It was painted shut the first time I tried to open it so I thought the line was just for show and then a few weeks later it was bugging me so I went under the sink and saw that YEAH IT REALLY WAS A DRAWER! I can't believe it took me so long to notice it though. Silly me. Must be the chemicals to my brain.

You'd think that with all the stuff tucked away my tub would look bare. WRONGO. Here's my corner :s

I want one of those racks that hang off of the shower head but I can see that going horribly wrong. Avon's shower gels come in the neat hook shape so when a shower gel runs out I will rinse and refill it with something else. At one point I had 9 of these hanging. Pretty sad I know. I also realized the older, more opaque bottles from like 2003 held the product better. These newer bottles suck ass, when it gets warm, the showel gel leaks out of the lid. Stupid me went on a clutter removal last summer and accidently tossed the older style bottles because they were close to empty :sadface

And I thought that was the extent of mah junk but almost forgot to show you the closet in my bathroom. This also holds my backups (hair dyes, toothpastes, deodorants, toothbrushes, essential stuff, yes hair dye is totally essential)

The bottom shelf just hold towels and a couple of things so here be my scary other 3:

And what hoarding post wouldn't be complete without a current state of makeup shot:

That's the majority of my junk/beauty product obsession. I don't collect weird shit like the lady on tv who refused to toss a moldy pumpkin or the guy who had tax books from the 80's or the people who have piles and piles of random shit blocking EVERYWHERE.

I'm not a total crazy person, if a fire happens I will be able to make my way to the front door obstacle free. With my train case in hand of course...

Can Haz My Noze Back Pls KTHXBAI

Woah! Sniffing nausea!

I made a Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab (bpal for shawty yo :) order to try to snag a bunch of the Yule 2009 scents.

A few years ago I heard of the company browing ebayland for gothic themed perfume oils. I saw some lots of imps (little sample vials) and snagged them because the bpal site it so overwhelming to look through (plan at least an hour to go through everything and read descriptions). Also at the time I was very confused with the shopping system. Being not an American we internationals have to place our orders a different way. We use Paypal and in the descriptions we pop the scents in there. There is a character limit so if your order is placed like a crazy person (aka moi) then you will have to email them your list.

After getting the ebay bought imps I really liked Ulalume and Lick It and those 2 were on my "I MUST BUY THESE OR SELL MY KIDNEYS" I sure didn't want to sell my kidneys so years later I saw the Yule 09 collection, saw that they had "Lick It Till It's Sticky" and thought "What the hell, I was only going to spend this money on food anyways".

So here by my motherlode.

The imps on the right and the pen were all freebies. I didn't even know they send freebies! A very pleasant surprise.

One of the freebies was duplicated and I decided to sniff it this morning, fingers crossed that I would love it having 2.

Meh.

Les Infortunes de la Vertu

Do you remember Avon's kiddie perfume called Little Blossom? Usually it was sold as a set with a body powder and a bag? This smelled EXACTLY like that. It was the first thing that popped into my mind. At first I was super happy to be taken back to when I was like 5 but after awhile this really starts to stink.

I spilled a crapload on me, so that may also be why I think it stinks right now.

The site description is: A pain-tinged, pleasure-soaked blend of leather, oakmoss, orange blossom, amber, and rose with a breath of virginal French florals and a hint of austere monastic penitential incense.

I don't smell the leather and soooo disagree with the people on the bpal forum who say it would smell sexy on a man. I dunno, but I don't want my man smelling like Little Blossom and then powdery old flowers. Right now it's still going strong and I smell like an old person.

Pass

NEXT! Lets go to the complete OPPOSITE of old.

JAILBAIT!

Wow this stuff is SWEET.

The 1st 4 scents my nose caught and brain thought of were root beer, strawberries, double bubble pinkness and those cheapo lollipops you can get at walmart (the ones that come in like 8 in a pack all attached in a long row, white with yellow, red and blue splotches, meh no es importante.)

The site says: Innocence defiled. Sticky pink bubblegum and the thick, sweet scent of orange and cherry lollipops smeared over a breath of heady womanly perfume.

Seeee? My nose likes to complicate things, there is no strawberries or root beer listed but that's what I smell. In my dream I also thought of those pink wintermint candies that smell like root beer. Not that they just smell like in my dream, I smell it in real life too :D

I want this in full size pronto. Candy scents are my absolute favourite. A guy at work said to another guy, "Why the hell would a girl want to smell like sugar? I don't trust anything that smells like candy!" So it's definately not for dude's sake. I just think it's such a happy smell! And what's wrong with happeh!?! NOTHIN' THAT'S WHAT!

Snow White 2009: A chilly, bright perfume: flurries of virgin snow, crisp winter wind and the faintest breath of night-blooming flowers.

I really like this one but I can't describe it very good. It's very pretty and somehow I was reminded of the glue on the back on envelops :s
I guess I like the smell of that glue lol

And my lovely Ulalume:
"The skies they were ashen and sober;
The leaves they were crisped and sere -
The leaves they were withering and sere;
It was night in the lonesome October
Of my most immemorial year:
It was hard by the dim lake of Auber,
In the misty mid region of Weir -
It was down by the dank tarn of Auber,
In the ghoul-haunted woodland of Weir.

Starry white lilies lend an eerie brightness to the deep black wooded scents of cypress and oak, layered with a touch of crushed dried leaves and the faintest aquatic note"

I love the smell of lillies and it's thanks to this scent that I now give most perfumes a shot if they list "leave, oak, aquatic" in their descriptions.

It reminds me of tromping through a wet, slightly floral forest. I think of my Oma and Opa's house in British Columbia.
Actually, just turn on your tv now and look at the Vancouver foliage, BAMMO ULALUME! Only in the summertime and less athletes :D

If you've stayed with me this far thank you! lol I don't expect anyone to read this all. It's mostly to remind my of my initial thoughts (this way I don't have to spill another crap one on me knowing it smells like a crap one!)

AND for some reason I thought these bottles would be bigger. I'll admit I have no idea what 5ml actually looked like until now. I was expecting something more this size:

I am a turd.

PS. Did you know POWER RANGERS ARE BACK!

Geogiana in Avalon

teeheeee

Here's what I did yesterday with my newest Aromaleigh order. It's more subtle than usual (for me anyways) but I liked it! It's kind of earthy looking.

I used all Aromaleigh

Lid: Geogiana
Crease: Avalon
Highlight: Orion

Eyeliner: Bourjois duo effet vert dore (if I remember correctly accent egout on the e)

Cheeks: Mac blush ombre in Ripe Peach

Milani gloss Summer Baby

I'd type mucho more but I has to leave for work now :(

More Fyrinnae Swatchiness

!!

I swatched 4 more lip lustres!

I sowwy for being a lazy ass :( I should have had these done by now but the thought of wiping one off and them putting another on and then wiping THAT off. Omg, dryness inDEEDY!

My lil ol blog was mentioned in Fyrinnae post for my lip swatches and I grinned like a dumbass for a half hour straight :D And gained a few more followers from that as well! *Hi there!* Thank you Fyrinnae! MUAH!

So now here are 4 more swatches!

First up is Flavor of the Day (ooooh I so badly want to throw a "u" in there)

Looks a tad different here (Almost mistook it for Meloncholy :s )

And here is Meloncholy

And here is Visual Kei

And last but not least Amplifier (especially since I have 4 more to go! soooooon my pretties)

Once I do the last 4 I have I will have to place another order to snag the rest of the lustres (oh darn, more shopping pour moi? NO WAY! That's rediculous!) I think I'm half way there though! (Note to Fyrinnae, please don't make any more neato lip colours until I finish my quest :D Unless it's a wicked sweet version of Elemental Fire or Polar Bear in lip lustre form! Oh golds, you make my heart warm.

Weirdness done for the day!

Chowder!
